MAJOR CHARACTERS OF THE CHRONAVERSE

This page will detail all the major characters that appear in the timeline of the main character Crethis Liun, aka King Liun, aka Crai'riain, and who reside, or are associated with his kingdom, Ahn-riot-tehn, the shining hope of unity.

In another part of our reality there exists a place, much like our own - another planet, with beings on it that have dedicated themselves to a world of balance. They study the light, and fight the darkness when it comes for them. It is a place of learning, enlightenment, and growth, where it's inhabitants have evolved beyond fear and it exists far above the clouds. It is named Ahn Riot Teh, the Shining hope of unity or "The Crystal City" in our language due to its abundance of beautiful crystalline architecture - white, gold and gem hues abound. It is a oval shaped structure with a wall all around, towers on each end, and a giant tower in the middle that splits the sky, in which the palace of the royal family lives. It is roughly twice the size of new york.

Due to its egalitarian nature many beings wish to take its secrets for themselves - the city keeps records of all of reality and thus its knowledge is quite vast. Thus there is a military to help protect the city, and all do their part.

King Liun, aka Crai'riain

King Liun is the ruler of the crystal city. Originally named Crethis Starflower Liun, when he fought in the giant realm wars of the past he was given the title "Crai'riain" which means "Enlightened Archer".

Crai'riain was a combination of two different races, royalty on both sides, in an attempt to bridge the gap of enmity between them. He thus acts as an ambassador to both, and also surveys a wide realm outside his city as well. From high above the city he surveys his land and tends to it.

Crai'riain, or Crai for short, is king, and benevolant, and represents all that is good. He shines with a golden white holy light and is semi-divine himself. Angelic and pure, he holds a staff in one hand, in which he channels his will. The crown nayeratsuri symbol is etched into his crown above the center jewel, and his crown represents the rays of the sun, with decorative plates coming down echoing the sun and moon motifs. He is a solar deity and channels his power into his staff which he holds highand swings to alter reality and create. He has powers over transmutation and time and space, and his voice is beautiful to behold. His hair flows like waves of the ocean and is similarly coloured. He is quite tall - his mother being even taller than him. Thus goodness, divinity, holiness. Fair elven features but also strong. He is so powerful he does all effortlessly with a calm smile on his face.

His style is befitting his royal status. He has many garments but his one of choice is usually one that reveals the midriff and shoulders - a common theme in the crystal city. His clothes are fringed with leather and fur, and an emblem is attached as a sort of belt buckle showing the lion head with the crescent moon and rays of the sun. His chest plate is made of polycarbonate fiber. He also has shapeshifting abilities but he uses them mostly to change the colour of his hair and eyes to match his outfits. His default is green though. The gems in his crown are green tourmaline and the crown is made of a metal not found in our world. He has two decorative golden spires on his shoulder of which a sheer cape can be attached to that drapes under his wings and flows behind him. One one side of his pants which are fringed with fur he wears a sash that hangs down. On his arms his sleeves are fringed with leather and fur and also an iridescent material that shimmers. He wears crescent earrings and a star on one side and a cap on the other. His ears are pointed. His hair is green and hangs down to his knees and is partially supported up by the crown.

His staff is formed from energy from his will but he also has a holy weapon which is a bow which he uses in battle, hence his title name. The arrows are formed out of pure energy. Princess celestia from mlp would probably be the closest feel to crai in terms of general personality and aura.

Princess Altiana

Princess Altiana is the second youngest and only daughter of King Liun. As a result she is doted on and a bit spoiled. She is beautiful beyond compare, her mother being an angelic being as well. She loves beautiful gowns and has a very delicate beauty to her. Her voice is as beautiful as her fathers. She is very popular, and many eyes are on her, much to the dismay of her father. who is very protective of her.

.. TOO protective in some ways. He tries to keep her safe from harm but this pushes her farther away. She has a rebellious spirit and is often stealing away to the world below her. A similar story to princess serena from sailor moon - the twos delicate beauty actually have a lot in common.

Altiana can be a bit hot-headed when it comes to getting her way as she is a bit spoiled, but there is also a beautiful graceful innocence to her.She can be seen in fields twirling about simply for the fun of it and laughing, simply enjoying life. She knows one day she will have to run a kingdom of her own but she does not like the concept of politics.

Her style like many of the crystal city inhabitants is a blend of beauty and function. Her hair is wrapped in a bun in the side and then french braided down the back and draped over her shoulder or hangs down her back - she has decorative bobby pins in and bangs and delicate earrings. Her shoulders are exposed and she wears a colourful sash with a broach to hold it in place around her waist - her dress has lace which drapes down her arms and 2 giant feathers that stick out around the bust. She wears a green gem on the bust and has a delicate necklace around her neck. Her dress is a greenish yellow with orange sash and purple broach, with the inside being lacy and white. He hair is a light shade of violet. She also weaves feathers into her braid.

Altiana has not come into her power yet only being about 16 in their years and has not even attained her wings yet, so not much is known about her power, but with the pedigree of her parents she has a lot of hidden potential. In some ways she is also like schala from chrono trigger in that way. She can be a protective older sister to her younger brother Prince Cali'ramon as well. To draw her focus on her laughing innocence and delicate beauty with just a hint of sadness as she pushes the burdens of her royal duties into the back of her mind. Princess serena and Princess Schala are good references.

Prince Cali'ramon

Prince Cali'ramon is the youngest son of Crai'riain - his older brother already overlooking a kingdom of his own. Cali is a sensitive, reclusive child, prone to fits of immaturity, and still growing up. In some ways his father is disappointed in him and cali is resentful of his father, the politics, and his focusing more on his sister.

Cali has tendencies to run away and do things on his own. Introverted but beautiful, he could be compared to Janus as a child from chrono trigger, schalas younger brother. He loves his older sister but is somewhat distant with his father. Being last in line not much pressure is put on him for now, still being a child. He does seek the approval of his father though.

Not much is known about his style, or abilities, as he's still rather young so that will evolve with time. His hair is almost an ivory white colour, and his eyes are a piercing green like his fathers. In looks he much resembles his father when he was younger. Unlike his sister however he has pointed ears like his father. He is shorter than his sister who is in turn shorter than her father.

Cali is a bit of a dark child, but still part of the light, and to draw him focus on his shyness, broodiness and natural beauty with just a bit of resentment. Prince Janus is a good reference.

Talia Liun

Talia Liun (a nickname, her original name is lost to time) is the cousin of Crai'riain - she is the eldest of Chief Gohans children. She can be sarcastic and bossy, and a bit overbearing, but she is a good person at heart. She is very intense.

She has a tendency to always get her way. She possesses golden hair and loves to wear green clothing. She is beautiful, flawless in appearance, well loved in her community and feels sad at how crai'riain is treated and always tries to look out for him. During his time on earth she made sure to sub in to care for his city in his absence.

when Gohan attempted to eliminate his nephew Talia directly challenged him and defeated him. He was imprisoned and later executed for his crimes against his family. She also eliminated many of the council who opposed crai and added new replacements. She is the new chief of the tribe, even though crai's father lethi has proper claim, he has no interest in it.

Pelusis

Arch god of Law and Order, and the general of light. Pelusis was genetically modified by Crai'riain to be the most perfect mentally brilliant being, and thus could be seen as one of his "children". His mental faculties are enhanced beyond any normal being, to the point that he could actually be compared to some sort of bio-engineered android. As a result his personal skills tend to suffer and he can appear cold and often clinical and even unfeeling at times to others. He is elven based however and thus still contain the grace and decorum of the elves. His name is a high english extension of plus, and represents the additive force.

Pelusis' job involves monitoring the security of the city, maintaining order within the city, and heading the research of what we would call "magic" - the harnessing and manipulation of primal and elemental forces. Pelusis is unmatched by any other citizen in these categories, and reports his findings and improvements directly to Crai'riain. His base of operations is in a pod that protrudes from underneath the city, where he can work undisturbed, referencing his many screens at light speed and telepathically communicating with his "helpers' across the city. In his "base of operations" underneath the city, he also has a specific area where he can sit down and continue his work with a special type of "laptop" that is more than likely powered by diapsum crystals. The surrounding area looks similar to a "cave" and he usually sits near the opening of the "cave", where you can see the clouds that surround the city and the open sky. Although, he rarely goes here to work and mostly works in his pod.

Pelusis is rather short, or small. He has prismatic white hair, is an introvert, is dressed in citizen clothing, polycarbonate fiber on one arm and fur on the other. Trademark of the generals are their abnormally long elven ears which almost look demonic and provided them with enhanced hearing among other things. He also has bio engineered crystal wings and crystal footwear, making him sort of resemble hermes. These allow him to fire short burts of energy out of them and allow him to fly very very fast. The ones on his feet help him to steer. he also carries a book that he is constantly adding to and referencing.. always making sure balance is maintained.

In addition Pelusis has an earring on one ear that represents a crescent moon, silent and contemplative. Pelusis rarely has time for "fun" but still battles with emotions that he is unsure with how to utilize.. efficiently. He enjoys monitoring other beings to help understand his own self, and how he can always become more and more efficient. His people are referred to as solarians and his brother is Satari. His colsest comparison is Toshiro Hitsugaya from bleach, or Giotto Vandione from star ocean 2 from looks right down to how he acts.

Satari

Arch god of War and Battles, and the general of darkness. Satari was genetically modified by Crai'riain to be the most perfect physically and tactically brilliant being, and thus could be seen as one of his "children". His physical and tactical faculties are enhanced beyond any normal being, to the point that he could actually be compared to some sort of bio-engineered super soldier. As a result his personal "smart" skills tend to suffer and he can appear wild and often unpredictable and even brash or heated at times to others. He is elven based however and thus still contain the grace and decorum of the elves.. to an extent. His demeanour would definitely raise a few high elven eyebrows. His name is a high english extension of star, and represents the multiplicative force.

Satari's job involves monitoring the security of the city, training troops, and acting as the first line of defense against sheer numbers of opponents. Pelusis acts as a secondary defense and works against those that Satari has no power against. Satari also deals in elemental and magic based weapons which have limited effectiveness on enemies, but not on a wide scoping scale - that is more pelusis's job. Satari is unmatched in strength and cunning by any other citizen, and reports his military findings and improvements directly to Crai'riain. His base of operations is in the training facility where he tirelessly operates in the eastern portion of the city, where he is constantly training and improving himself and referring to tactical schematics with his lesser generals.

Satari is rather tall, and huge, but still athletic looking and not bulky. He is an extrovert, has crystalline black hair that reflects the cosmos, is dressed in animal skin pants and nothing else. Trademark of the generals are their abnormally long elven ears which almost look demonic and provided them with enhanced hearing among other things. He also has wings that look like lightning bolts coming out of his back that propel him along through sheer energy, flaring up when he is angry and settling down when he is calm. Satari sometimes goes into a berserker rage against very strong opponents and his power is magnified greatly, but he has less control. He carries a staffthat has a set of twin pronged blades on either ends. These are his ion blades and vibrate so fast they can liquidate anything they touch. Like most things they are crystal powered, and can also disconnect in the middle to be used separately by both hands. Satari ensures the military force is always balanced with the intellectual force. Pelusis is the brains, Satari is the brawn.

Satari, unlike Pelusis, makes sure he has ample time for "fun" and is often pestering Pelusis to join him in some pursuit or other. Pelusis considers Satari "reckless" and Satari considers Pelusis "a spoilsport". Satari can get very heated with his emotions, and it makes Pelusis unsure of how to respond. He enjoys barralling through life, and thus has a lot less stress in that regard than Pelusis, but also has to deal with the inadequcies of his troops more, and thus has trouble dealing with what he terms "lazy buggers". Satari is always focused on physical and tactical improvement, and how he can always become more and more efficient. His people are referred to as nuitarians and his brother is Pelusis.

In addition Satari has an earring on one ear that represents a horned demon, and also the sun - fiery and strong. His closest comparison is Kenpachi Zaraki from bleach, or from looks right down to how he acts, although with a bit more playful side to him maybe.

Avalon

Avalon is the gate guardian of the heaven portal in the crystal city, which leads to the heaven realms - areas of space governed by perfect order and control. She is a close personal friend of the king, and he converses with her often during his travels to and from the heaven realms. She helps new beings birth into incarnate forms as well. Her brother, Azrael, does the opposite.

She is an angelic being, and her robes represent fire, the rebirth of being. She has long blonde hair and beautiful white wings.

To draw her think of a gentle caring yet firm angelic being.

Azrael

Azrael and Crai'riain Have a complicated past. Rumoured to be closely related, they grew up together and were very close, being childhood best friends. Azrael, or Az for short, formed a strong bond with his then playmate Crethis, and romantic feelings formed. However Crai'riains mixed race nature caused Az's family to become wary of their "friendship" as Azrael began to question the regime of what always was.

Eventually It would be discovered their relationship was more romantic in nature, and Azrael would be forbidden from being with Crethis - they were literally torn apart, each not understanding what happened to the other resulting in misunderstandings and hard feelings until they reunited much later. Az as "punishment" would be sent off to basically "military school" where he would be trained and conditioned to be what he became, the angel of death, and the gate guardian to the hell dimensions.

Az and crethis, now called Crai'riain due to his valour in one of the grand realm wars, would meet for angelic meetings but other than that their time together was brief. However when Crai'riain morphed into A'ar Quintas and threatened to take down reality itself and was cast down, it was Azrael who convinced the council not to destroy him and instead volunteered to keep a watchful eye on crai himself, and volunteered to destroy him himself if A'ar Quintas ever re-emerged. He never hold Crai this however and when the truth was revealed there was much hurt. He stopped A'ar Quintas from his destructive path and helped to rehabilitate him and became both his lover and protector of Crai's city, in time. Az secretly protected Crai by pretending to be his watcher because of their longtime friendship. Crai means a lot to Azrael.

Azrael and crai'riain work closely together in that Azrael solves problems the hard way, and Crai'riain cleans them up after and patches and repairs reality. Crai'riain sends him on missions. As of late their relationship has blossomed into something of more of a romantic nature, although Azrael and crai, while they wish they could hang up their heavenly duties, understand that Crai'riains children, who are still children, as least for 2 of them, must come first.

Azrael is the gate guardian of the hell portal in the crystal city, which leads to the hell, or twisted realms - areas of space governed by survival of the fittest. He is a close personal friend of satari, one of crais generals. He uses the gate to deal with the twisted lords, a group of troublesome beings, Anare'il once being one of them. He helps guide and heal souls that have recently passed and comfort them. He help beings with difficult healing journeys and he helps maintain the balance in the universe by being the protector of the weak. He also has a special love for humanity and wants to help it evolve. He is also known as the angel of death, and is relatively misunderstood by many. His sister, Avalon, does the opposite, and deals more with beings coming in. She would be the angel of life.

Azrael is an angelic being, and in the past has displayed a more primal form as the warrior angel of death. He had a giant sword made out of crystal, and gave off an intense almost animalistic vibe through his anger. These days he wishes to be seen more as the healer which wishes to understand beings, and guide them towards healing. In this form he wears simple white robes.

Tamara

Tamara is the sister of Tobias, and guards a gate unknown at this time. She is a fusion of an angel and a phoenix, so it would be logical to assume, since tobias guards the draconian gate that perhaps she guards one related to phoenix worlds.

She has a fiery temper to her, and gets whatever needs to get done ruthlessly. She is not one to be crossed. She is friendly enough to the king however.

Think of a very intense passionate being.

Tobias

Tobias is the sister of Tamara, and guards the gate to the draconian world. He is a fusion of an angel and a dragon, and this gate is a sore point of contention with the king as the king is part draconian and ther eis no love lost between the sides.

Unlike his sister, he is extremly calm and wise, and his eyes are piercing like a falcons. He and the king get along very well and he is very understanding of hte kings plight. In times of turmoil and unrest in the draconian world he is in charge of keeping the portal locked. He only wear s pants and heeps his sandy coloured hair in a ponytail with bangs on one side. He carries a staff.

Think of a very wise calm and piercing being.

Alhiana

Alhiana is the mother of Altiana. Her beauty is something to behold even of her own kind. An angelic being with brown wings and brown hair, the romance between her and the king was passionate, but short.

Poisoned with the arrogant mindset of those blinded by the light of the heaven realms - she declared it her job to "fix" all she felt was wrong, and at no point focused at all on her own self development. This mighty crusade of justice without inner reflection eventually repelled the king, and drove an ideological wedge between them, and she left. She returns occasionally to visit and see her daugher.

Think of the most graceful beautiful calm being you can imagine, but marred with a prideful and arrogant tint to her.

Lady Averi

the previous ruling lady of Nastros, and Crai'riain's mother. She is an Annunaki Draconian who fought against the twisted lords and against Kronus the weapon maker, but was ultimately gravely injured. It was thought she was killed but it seemed not to be the case - she just retreated to heal.

Averi cares deeply for her son, but learned to hide her emotions. She was also very strict with Crai'riain.

Lady Averi had a son with Lethi in a royal attempt to bridge the 2 races. She existed close to the beginning of time and thus existed before the fall of the annunaki as a race. She has a very very cold disposition, appearing almost emotionless, and is very tall, taller than crai'riain even. Draconians can shapeshift and can appear either as human, humanoid/draconian or in a full dragon form. In her human form she appears as a tall lady with long black hair, an icelike crown, pale ice blue eyes, dark lips and either wears armor or a long flowing white dress with billowing sleeves.

Her dragon form reflects that of an ice dragon. Her sons reflects that of a heavenly dragon.

Her deus weapon was that of a long thick black sword. To draw her almost think of the white witch from the BBCs The chronicles of narnia. Very strict and aloof.

Lethi

From one of the best hunting families, Liun, Lethi was an elf of the "Hunters of Nubiru" soul lineage, and the father of Crai'riain. Crai'riain gets his features and green hair from Lethi. Elves can choose to resurrect their bodies back to youth if they died.

It is not sure whether Lethi was the twin or simply the brother of Gohan, but it would appear that perhaps due to Lethi's decision to father a non-pure son that Gohan attempted to take his brothers life. They were meant to co-rule, but I don't think that was a position that Gohan entirely favoured in the end. Lethi's face is kind but appears worn, like the years have weighed on him.

Solarian

This unnamed crystal city citizen gives us insight into the side of light under pelusis - fearless, beautiful, and focused on clothes that don't focus on protection but merely expressing themselves - this one is barely clothed and practicing archery. His hair appear to be a pale whitish blue. The sun and moon motifs are the signs of light and heralded by the royalty and generals alike.

Anare'il

A shapeshifting Twisted Lord of the Hell realms. He is the embodiment of the 5 different types of chaos, and occasionally meddles in the affairs of others, although sometimes he is content to simply sit and watch.

Anare'il was raised in the dark magics of chaos - of using the power of void to unravel others and control them. He was raised in the twisted realms. When Crai'riain came into the twisted realms to try to help out, Anare'il was not pleased, and made it his mission to hamper him as much as possible. Anare'il is also a draconian, one of the early ones before their fall from grace, and can shapeshift as crai'riain can, although crai'riain rarely does so. Anare'il was also a love interest of crai'riain's mother, and did not entirely approve of crai'riains "abomination" existence methinks.

Anare'il also caused suffering to Altiana as well, so the entire family is rather mistrustful of him, even to this day. Once Anare'il fully understood the scope of being controlled by chaos through his actions, a light seemed to dawn in his mind, and the main host of anare'il also appears to wish to change. This is a big step in his rehabilitation. The king has forgiven Anare'il his transgressions, but still keeps a close eye on him so that he does not regress again. Kinda like Discord in mlp.

The image above is anare'il at the height of his darkness, but that form attracted him too much attention from those that wanted him gone, and so he has shifted to a more nonassuming form.

A'ar Quintas - The Destroyer

A'ar quintas is what occurs when a being is pushed too far and all of their negativity coalesces into a monster. Before Crai'riain had the crystal city his mother had had him take over in the city of nastros for her. A crystalline city in the heaven realms. They made him do terrible things there, make weapons of war to fight in giant realm wars. Eventually they expected more than he could give, and so he turned to a being - the abysmal demon of hair - who taught him to tap into the shadow darkness within, and call forth the shadows to him.

When in the next realm war Crai called upon this - but there was so much anger and darkness within him he called it from every corner there was and it coalesced around him, materializing like an akira like monstrosity of shifting and mutating flesh, which above that solidified dark gunmetal greyish blue armor plating. It looked like venom from spiderman in armor, and it was vast vast in size - it could gnaw on planets. It's said its scream was unbearable to hear, like a million angry abominations screaming at once.

The darkness was too much and this new being was rendered insane, and from its mouth came forth destruction - and from its body flew spawn that destroyed their enemies utterly. Anare'il was one of these enemies but was able to avoid destruction, and this caused a chase with this being chasing him all over, shooting pure energy from its mouth, destroying everything that came within the beams path, eventually causing Anare'il to retreat. This would cause problems down the line as Anare'il now saw crai as a ticking timebomb.That needed to be dealt with.

When done this being then turned its gaze onto the light, for pushing him to do this, and attacked them next. The rest gets hazy but it is said that god itself had to intervene and subdue the creature - and all that is remembered is a blinding light engulfing him. Crai'riain was left much diminished after this and had to work his way back up. Things were never quite the same with him after in the heaven realms, and it is unknown whether he was exiled to the area of space he was in, but it was said Crai'riain begged to be reinstated somewhere else, most likely out of hatred for those people whose ideologies he so diametrically opposed. Regardless relations between him and both the heaven realms and the twisted realms were forever strained after that.

Progress has slowly been made over time, but nobody forgets the awesome destructive power of A'ar Quintas, the dragon of destruction, and the fact they were all powerless to stop him. Only the head of this being was drawn, but the top and side spikes on his face curve and angle back, and his body and wings are similarly anguler and plated, and he's quite beefy, yet very agile. A very scary angry being, with lots of very scary teeth and claws.
